Vanessa de la Paz-Ramos, accounts assistant for the Valencia Foundation, is originally from Bronx, New York. She attended the Herbert H. Lehman College, at the City University of New York, and graduated in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in accounting.
Vanessa relocated to Kissimmee in 2005 and worked in the banking industry for three years before joining Valencia in 2008.
"What I like most about my job is that I am working for a greater purpose," Vanessa said. "There was a time in my life when I felt that maybe I chose the wrong profession, because the finance field can be very one-track minded, with the focus always being on the bottom line."
