|Donna Marino, CFRE
Donna Marino joined Valencia College in January 2000. A member of the Valencia Foundation since 2007, Donna is responsible for foundation donor relations, the annual faculty and staff giving campaign, administering the constituent database, facilitating scholarship and endowed chair donations, continued coordination of foundation events and special program fundraising campaigns.
Throughout the years Donna has advocated for Valencia students in her role with the Department of College and Community Relations. There she assisted our foundation with events and fundraising activities, managed the college's professional development training program Leadership Valencia, directed the distinguished artist series Visions & Voices and presented to Valencia's new faculty and staff members.
In September 2009 Donna was awarded the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation. She serves on the board of directors for the Association of Fundraising Professions and American Association for Women in Community Colleges, is a member of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education and serves on the Peace and Justice Advisory council.
Donna has an MBA from Belhaven University and a BS in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida. It's important to note that Donna's foundation for excellence was obtained from Valencia where she earned her first college degree: Associate in Arts. Yes, Valencia is The Place for Potential!
"Each day, I am grateful for the contributions of philanthropic community partners and college supporters who make possible our mission and understand the impact education has on our community. I appreciate the Valencia faculty and college staff who make our students the center of their work. And together we honor the students Valencia is privileged to serve." -- Donna Marino
